1, 2, 3 Trimesters You're Out!

Well the third trimester began yesterday, and the day started with a little 'ole tush sticking out of my stomach on the left side right around my belly button. So I did what any good natured mother would do -- I grabbed it :)
He finally felt a kick a few weeks ago. His response "oh that's it, I've felt that before". So in the end he's been feeling it all along. He likes to put Bella's head on my belly to see how she'll respond to the noises and jabs -- we think she's excited.
We can now see my entire belly move when the baby gets active, and we both had an opportunity to grab a foot the other night.
The baby is now supposedly the size of an

yep, that's an eggplant.
Lately we've been having lots of hiccups -- the baby not me! Apparently I had them all the time in utero, I still do. I must have some weird hiccup gene that I've passed on. We both sat in bed the other night and felt the hiccups.
We also started our birthing classes last week. So far we have not been the best students and didn't practice our "new" coping technique between classes one and two. But we're doing better this week and already watched one of the two movies we were sent home with. We're having baked goods at every class. The first week I showed up with homemade cheesecake bites and she had made delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies. After that we decided only one baker per week, so for the second class I made creme brulee cupcakes. Everyone seemed to love them!
Time is flying and we're staying busy. Hopefully all the furniture will be out of the office soon and the room will get primed. I guess then it will officially be a nursery ;)
I'll leave you with a recent family portrait
